Jdub's Celebrity Look Alike's - My Friends, Vol 3

Follow Me on Pinterest

Well, here's volume three of Jdub's Celebrity Look Alike's. I've run out of semi-clever things to say to introduce this post, so let's just get right to it.

My friend Kevin and the magical Cillian Murphy. I've repeated this comparison on a number of occasions, most whole-heartedly concur - he's still not convinced. I'll let you be the judge.

Okay, three part 'Dazed and Confused' references comin' at ya. My adorable friend Lisa and Mitch's         sophomore lady-friend  Julie (aka Catherine Morris). Every time I watch it I think of her.

So, apparently Nick gets compared to Mitch (aka Wiley Wiggins). The first time I met him I said young Keaunu Reeves. Why choose? All adorable, everybody wins.

Mitchy...Mitchy Mitchy Mitchy
Meet Mick Baker (aka Mitch Barker) and Willie Watson from Old Crow Medicine Show. Not only do they look identical but they both play mando like nobody's business. Rock me Willie like a wagon wheel. A few degrees of separation from the Dazed reference, but still valid [Mitch Kramer-Mitch Barker-Wiley Wiggins-Willie Watson]. Slow Ride, take it easy.

Okay, so this is the Captain's (aka Justin's) second appearance in this series. This time he's paired with Bret (read 'Brit') from Flight of the Conchords. This is a great one and therefore justified a second entry.

It also segue's nicely to his partner in crime, the lovely Ms. Emily and Flashdancer Jennifer Beals. These pics don't really do the similarity justice but they definitely look alike and apparently one of the reasons they got together. What a feelin'!

Okay, now it's Sherk's turn - not quite as jacked as Vin Diesel but I see it - with or without the toques. Sherk is, shall we say, a little more eloquent with the words than Vin. Check out this link of great Vin quotes - here is my fave: "I shaved my head about 15 years ago and the first time I shaved it, I started running my hand through my hair and it was very therapeutic. ~~Vin Diesel ". Gold.

Last but not least - Liolli and the kid from 'Up' and 'Modern Family'. Tell me this is not the most adorable comparison ever?! Yes, one is a child actor and one is a cartoon, but it still counts! He's also been compared to the drummer of Bad Religion, and Liolli is a drummer. More obscure, but still worth mentioning.

There you have it my friends. I know there is still a ton more of you holding out on me with your look alike's. Since I'm a fan of the trifecta this may be it for a while, but I'm sure there will be others. I'll leave you waiting with breath that is bated.

Jdub's Celebrity Look Alike's - My Friends, Vol 2

Follow Me on Pinterest
After endless google image searches, I bring you the anxiously awaited volume two of Jdub's celebrity look alike's. My first edition seemed to go over fairly well, so I decided to add a second. Who am I kidding, I still would have written a part two. I just have too many look alike's left to stop now. Okay, let's do this.

First up, a little can-con. 'Welcome to The Hour, I am your boyfriend George Strombolopolous'. Who doesn't love a little Strombo?! My friend Geoff and our beloved Canadian icon are pretty closely matched I reckon.
This look alike may be a little more obscure-well, to people that don't watch HBO's 'Girls'. If that's the case, shame on you! It's phenomenal. Christopher Abbott plays Charlie on the show and reminds me so much of my friend Alex - dimples and all.

These pics barely do the comparison justice. Singer Pink, and my sista from anotha motha, Corey. She's heard this hundreds of times for good reason. Pretty rad.

Yup, that's right - it's Brenda! Another 90210 reference. The second of three in this series (so far). I just found out my friend Karin was always compared to Shannen Doherty and I can definitely see it.
Next up, my brother Zack and Rob Kardashian. He is not gonna love this comparison and you can't really tell from these photos, but they really do look alike.
Now my dad and Dustin Hoffman. I didn't really notice this one until my friend Ashlie pointed it out but now I totally see it!

Being compared to Brad Pitt is tricky business. One of those things you don't want to dole out unless it's really really called for. Scott got this a lot-like, a lot a lot. Long hair, short hair, clean shaven, beard - it never failed. I say roll with it.

90210 reference number three! Ian Zeiring (aka Steve Sanders) and my friend Jeff. This was one of those 'who does that guy remind me of' kinda situations. Later I found out this is who he gets compared to and I'm like 'yes, that's it'! Mint.

I've always thought that my friend Kev looked like Ben Affleck and I'm pretty sure he used to get that a lot as well. I've actually never asked him. This seems like an appropriate platform.

So, my friend Michelle asks people all the time who their celebrity look alike is, so she had to be featured in this post. Michelle (aka Josephine Cleo) is an incredible singer and often gets compared to Katy Perry, which I can totally see. She also gets Pauley Perrette a lot (aka the girl with the serious bangs from NCIS) which I can definitely see also. I mainly just wanted an excuse to repost this pic of Michelle because I LOVE IT.

So, how did I do? Spot on or not even close? Who have I missed? Who is your celebrity doppelgänger?

Maybe if you tell me I'll have enough for a volume three. Stay tuned.

Jdub's Celebrity Look Alikes - My Friends, Vol 1

Follow Me on Pinterest

I have a strange fascination with look-alikes. Not necessarily famous people, but 90% of the time. Usually actors or musicians. Shocker.

This habit has been pointed out several times as of late, so I thought it would make an entertaining blog post. Especially since it has pictures. People love pictures. I've also decided this is going to be a series, since I couldn't possibly fit them all in one post. So if you're not in this one, look out, you may be next. Also, I am not above using strategic pictures that may prove more convincing as a look-alike. That is my disclaimer.  It's the nature of the beast.

I am going to start with my friend Ashlie - since she is my blogging guru and thought that this post was a great idea (before she knew she was in it). Ash get's compared to the adorable Natalie Dormer (aka Margaery Tyrell, Game of Thrones) a lot. The eyes definitely do it and the auburn hair helps.

I will get mine over with next since I'm foisting it on so many others. There is definitely an era-obvious trend.

(L to R) Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (post 'Saved by the Bell, circa 90210), Natalie Imbruglia (circa 'Torn' single), Nelly Furtado (circa 'Promiscuous'?), Me (Vegas)
Yeah, I don't see it either - I think in the 90's people just compared me to any olive-skinned blue-eyed brunette.
The person I got the most in high school was Suzanna Hoffs from The Bangles.
Back in tha'day I did resemble her, but the baton must be passed to my fabulous friend Kathy (Suzanna left).                                                        Her sister - my lovely friend Patricia-looks a lot like another singer
(Demi Lovato-left) - just a star-studded family they are!

Speaking of family, my cousin Kerri always used to get Mariah Carey. She thinks it's just the hair thing - I think it's more than that.

Okay, now it's time to pick on the boys. First up, my friend Justin and the dude from the show Whitney (aka comedian Chris D'Elia) - the character he plays on the show is identical to Justin in real life. They also both do the eyebrow thing.

My buddy JT (John) got his name because he look's like Justin Timberlake. He was christened with JT long before I came along so this one wasn't me. I'm assuming it's because he brought sexy back.

I'm sure people are tired of hearing me yammer on about how much Glenn (right) resembles indie-rock sensation Lou Barlow  (left) [Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh, Folk Implosion] - but I mean, c'mon! Even look alike sceptics cannot deny this one.

Last but not least my friend Mr. Scotty (right) and Fred Durst (left). I don't think any explanation is necessary for this one.

'It's all about the he said she said bullshit'.
I think I better quit, lettin' shit slip.
Come and get it.

Who do people say you look like? I'd love to know.

PeaceandLove, Jdub
